Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Las Lomas
Compensation: $26-$31 Per Hour (Depending On experience)

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair work within our properties. You will manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and industry standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of property upkeep.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Management:
    • Hire, train, and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties.
    • Organize and oversee the schedules and work assignments of maintenance personnel.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Maintenance Operations:
    • Inspect facilities regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
    • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure timely and effective maintenance activities.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and practices.
    • Conduct safety inspections and training sessions to promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Budget and Inventory Management:
    • Assist with departmental budget estimates and manage costs of specific repair projects.
    • Maintain inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring proper storage and availability for maintenance tasks.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Coordinate with other departments and management to ensure maintenance needs are met.
    • Prepare and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
    • Report on maintenance status, issues, and recommendations to senior management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree from a vocational school is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role.
    • HVAC Certified
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
    • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management software.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs while inspecting properties, handling maintenance issues, and interacting with residents.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., tools, equipment, or materials).
  • Occasional bending, squatting, or kneeling to inspect facilities or manage repairs.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, computers, and telephones for extended periods.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor maintenance activities.
