Global Product Group Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the portfolio management of ABB products and solutions. Each day, you will have responsibility for areas such as research & development oversight, product management, strategy, business development, marketing, pricing, go-to-market strategy, and footprint optimization. You will also showcase your expertise by successfully implementing the portfolio strategy, maximizing portfolio performance and delivering the expected growth and profitability results. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the ELSP LVS You will be mainly accountable for: • Designing and successfully implementing the portfolio/product group strategy and ensuring achievement of performance targets. • Developing and managing the products, solutions, systems, and/or service portfolio required to achieve and secure market leadership. • Defining the portfolio roadmap including product and solution streamlining, acquisition targets for portfolio synergies, and development opportunities. • Ensuring profitable business growth organically and inorganically in the identified markets through optimized production and supply chain footprints, competitive distribution, and go-to-market strategy.

Qualifications for the role

• Significant experience (15 years) of general management in a similar industry and in an international context
• Deep understanding of Engineer to Order (ETO) and Make to Order (MTO) business models, including system and project solutions
• Demonstrable operations knowledge with experience of footprint management, end to end supply chain, and multiple lines production in one site
• Will have experience of full P&L responsibility
• Ideally knowledge of the product portfolio in Distribution Solutions.
• Superior customer management skills & communication skills in an international environment
• Commercially savvy including contract risk management in an ETO business
