Wood is recruiting for a Maintenance Material Planner (Local National) to join its Iraq business unit focusing on hands-on assistance in the various transactions related to Equipment PMs, Spare parts identification, and material requisition/planning for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Basra, Iraq on 5 days on / 2 days off rotation.

This role is a full-time on-site role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

Key Objectives

• Focal point to provide hands-on assistance in the various transactions related to Equipment PMs, Spare parts identification, and material requisition/planning to support client Maintenance Base Business.
• Assist Maintenance Planner with Material planning and PM's
• Key interface and guidance from BTPO SPID coordinator
• Generate spare parts purchase requisitions
• Manage equipment preservation plan in storage PM's and limited shelf life expiry
• Catalog new Maximo data as per CMMS Development process
• Responsible and accountable to assist maintenance planner towards Production Unit Asset Leadership team's plans
• Day to day management of material data
• Oversight of QA of Equipment and spare part submissions (format & equipment tagging) and purchase recommendations.
• Interface with equipment suppliers including training
• Material tracking
• Maintain good communications between Maintenance supervisors, Procurement, Warehouse.
• Provide input to the development of Equipment Strategies, Maintenance Plans & Service contracts
• Steward and manage Planning / sparing KPI's

Expected:

• 5 - 10 years plus experience in Plant Maintenance - required
• 3 - 5 years - Worked in Planning/Scheduling position in CMMS (SAP or Maximo) - required
• Postsecondary education or trade certificate - required
• Excellent communications (oral & written) in English
• Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others
• Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
• Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities
• Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
• Good management /supervisory, interpersonal and motivation skills
• Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes (Stepback 5x5, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment)
• Understanding of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications
• Understanding of site regulations
• Solid Knowledge of SPID (Spare Parts Inventory Development) and related processes
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Computer programs including MS Project.
• Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, Suppliers and business partners.
• Solid Knowledge of Material Supply chain - Procurement, Freight Forwarding and Warehouse Issuing and Receiving systems
