Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual lathes, mills, and other machine tools to produce precision parts. This role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, blueprints, and quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment for production runs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a manual machinist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tools.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle machining tasks.
