• Perform assessments on various gas turbine components received for inspection by following written procedures, documents (blueprints, drawings, and specifications), and established practices.
• Conduct visual inspections as required of own work and work of others before part movement to the next operation.
• Perform NDT processing as required (FPI, airflow, etc.), working directly with Staff or Senior Level Technicians on interpretation of findings.
• Generate NCRs in the QSI system.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment and hand tools as required for assessment, disassembly, and final assembly.
• Operate small cranes to move equipment, parts, and material.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform work following all applicable safety procedures and policies.
• Conduct NDT processing (Visual FPI, airflow, water flow).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Training

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills/Experience

• 2 years of manufacturing experience with specific skills in at least one of the following disciplines: grinding, blending coatings, coatings application, coatings removal (strip line), blasting, heat treat, machining, welding, or similar skillset.
• 2 years of experience with interpretation of technical drawings or work instructions.
• 2 years of experience in a production or maintenance environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, and timekeeping applications.

• Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
• Repetitive motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
• Subject to noise: Sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
• Subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat, or exposure to chemicals.
• May require travel (air & ground) with short notice.
• Ability to wear required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as respirators, Tyvek suit, gloves, face shield, etc.
• Ability to cooperate and work with people.
