Technical and Business Skills - I
- Direct a multi-disciplined, multifunctional maintenance team to complete maintenance activities within the designated Offshore Asset area of responsibility, by provide leadership to drive a team to sustain reliability and availability in alignment with company expectations, in achieving a safe, efficient, environmentally sound and economically optimised work process, through rigorous planning and co-ordination of maintenance activities, for both the present and future facilities including remote platform facilities.
Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to Offshore Installation Manager.
- Direct reports: 4 - 5 (Total headcount: 18 - 22).
Internal
- Frequent interaction with Offshore Operations and Maintenance, Offshore support staff including logistics.
- Periodic contact with Integrity, Reliability, and Surveillance engineer, SHE&Q and Warehousing.
External
- Frequent contact with the representatives of contractors and equipment/plant vendors.
- Periodic contact with representative OEM.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
- Major challenges are (1) provide strategic support to the OIM's; (2) provide leadership for all maintenance activities including planned & unplanned activities and other maintenance related safety issues for the offshore asset facilities within his area of responsibility, including associated remote platforms; (2) provide input and support to project expansion; (3) function within clear defined policies and procedures ; (4) provide all necessary support to ensure fulfilment of the onshore gas demand, including adherence to equipment strategies and mechanical integrity compliance issues; (5) provide leadership and guidance in the planning and execution of activities under the company PTW system; (6) provide leadership on facility maintenance issues by supporting O&M coordination during normal operations, facility upsets, start-up and shutdown conditions; (7) work within the offshore team to ensures RWHP visits are executed effectively and efficiently; (8) provide input for project expansion and related shutdown activities; (9) planning and scheduling of the maintenance activity amidst weather uncertainties and resource constraint; (10) integrate Major Project SIMOPS activities to avoid base operations disruption.
- Perform key role in the Offshore Tier 1 Incident Response team.
- Working an on/off offshore rotation.

- Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations and standards.

Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Coordinate day-to-day routine, and emergency unplanned maintenance activities within the assigned Offshore Asset area of responsibility to achieve safe, efficient and reliable operations, in alignment with quality and environment compliance.
- Plan and lead the administrative and technical activities of the maintenance team in managing the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities for each discipline within the team, whilst ensuring that adequate provision is made for spares, materials and tools for all maintenance activity.
- Assure alignment for optimize availability & reliability of each asset, to meet companies' equipment strategies and international safe engineering standards and practices.
- Ensure activities performed by service contractor or other vendors or suppliers are implemented to achieve company standards, including quality checks on contractor's performance.
- Facilitate, support and lead the maintenance team during major shutdown events in support of the shutdown team in execution of all activities and performing.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
- Ensure accurate reporting of all maintenance interventions within the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Liaise with engineering teams to ensure accurate reporting and provide any additional site information as required for engineering studies.
- Facilitate lessons learnt sharing with other Asset Maintenance teams to enhance safety & reliability and provide consistency in maintenance practices and ensure these are communicated to projects were appropriate.
- Administer the performance of the assigned team, identify enhancements and ensure compliance of the Offshore Operations Asset KPI's.
- Ensure adherence to safety maintenance procedures, environmental protection, and occupational health and security regulations as per company policies.
- Support projects & expansion activities, through participation in document reviews, HAZOPS, HAZID's, RA's/FRA's, etc., for all major and minor expansion and development projects, including by managing any SIMOPS activities and providing input to ensure all project deliverables are supported by the department.
Part B: Person Specification - Minimum Requirement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 10 years of experience in plant maintenance in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry, of which 5 are in supervisory / management roles.
Technical and Business Skills - I
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Strong ability to understand and solve complex problems & issues related to Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation equipment and the operations side of the business.
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of business software applications and SAP systems.
- Ability to deal with unusual situations and resolve conflicts.
