The Maintenance Planner reports directly to the Lead Maintenance Coordinator under the Daily Maintenance Manager. This position will be accountable for developing maintenance work plans per the Operation Directed Maintenance (ODM) Work Process, generating accurate job packages and cost estimates and creating task lists for repeatable jobs utilizing SAP. It will also ensure activities are consistent with Phillips 66 core values, aligned with Lake Charles Refinery plant goals, and in compliance with ODM Work Process.

The Lake Charles Refinery is located in Westlake, Louisiana. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. Facilities also include a specialty coker and calciner. The refinery processes a mixture of light to heavy, low- and high sulfur and low- and high-acid crude oils. It receives domestic, Canadian and other foreign crude oil through truck, pipeline, marine transportation and terminals, including the Beaumont and Clifton Ridge terminals and the Bayou Bridge Pipeline. Lake Charles produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include off-road diesel, home heating oil, feedstock for our Excel Paralubes joint venture, specialty graphite petroleum coke and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed in the southeastern and eastern United States by truck, rail car, barge or pipelines and exported to Latin America and West Africa.

Responsibilities May Include:
- Planning and estimating labor, material and contractor resources for planning process
- Reviewing, estimating, and planning all daily work activities to support the area, zone, craft or section
- Developing plan task list library in SAP
- Generating accurate and complete planning packages to maximize craft productivity
- Resolving priority, scope, job step, and resource requirements in collaboration with operations
- Critiquing and adjusting plan/task lists for completed jobs based on information from craft and supervisors
- Completing work orders, notifications and documentation as necessary in the maintenance tracking system
- Supporting turnaround planning in the above activities
- Complying with all policies and procedures and all federal, state and local regulations
- Working outdoors exposed to weather elements
- Knowing and observing safe work practices including wearing personal protective equipment
- Developing a plan task list library in SAP and planning package library for repeatable maintenance tasks
- Notifying the master equipment data owner of any equipment changes or BOM changes
- Updating changes to auto PM work orders
- Assist area clerk with work order/notification closures and documentation as required
- Providing daily communication to area scheduler of status of jobs in PLNN and PLON status
- Providing all planned packages to area scheduler for review and filing
- Providing input and support for turnaround planning
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 or more years of craft and/or operations experience in the refining and/or chemical industry
- Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Willing and able to perform/comply, with or without a reasonable accommodation, with the following:
- Work outdoors exposed to weather elements
- Wear personal protective equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of craft and/or operations experience in the refining and/or chemical industry
- 5 or more years of experience in maintenance planning related to safety, craft knowledge, materials, CPM logic, and logistics
- Computer proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP
- Able to master SAP for the ODM work process (MM, PM, PS modules)
- Ability to plan multi-craft jobs
- Working knowledge of engineering, safety, and IHS standards and procedures
- Able to read and perform material take-offs from isometrics and equipment drawings
- Understands and uses functional expertise to contribute to the success of the business
- Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports and manual
