Position Summary:

Semper Solaris is looking for an organized and motivated Solar Electrician for our Solar Operations department. The Solar Electrician will perform a wide variety of electrical operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and a genuine care to his/her craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Perform main service panel upgrades ranging from 125A to 225A. Overhead and underground.
• Ensure proper job documentation is completed at the completion of each job
• Install batteries - including industry leader brands like Tesla
• Basic stucco removal and main service panel weatherproofing as required to prep for and pass rough inspections
• Tie in Solar installation to main service panels
• Identify and/or establish grounding
• Configure electrical wiring of the solar system (AC and DC)

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum 3 years of experience in residential electrical.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in disconnect/reconnect of main service panels
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in panel upgrades
• Previous experience installing batteries
• Knowledge of solar industry and NEC codes
• Ability to work independently and with minimal direction/oversight
• Knowledge of the do's and don'ts of complete solar install
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must have a valid CA driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman or electrical certification
• Previous experience installing photovoltaic systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail a must
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize work and work under sensitive time restraints
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills

Pay Rate: $40/hr. DOE

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
