Transformer Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time, Year-round, permanent position. This is a Traveling position in the Southeast!
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour DOE and company vehicle! Daily Per diem($115-135) and company vehicle and gas card!
100% travel – typically leave on a Sunday and back on a Thursday.

Job Description:
IMA Power Services is seeking an experienced transformer supervisor to run a 3-to-5-man crew. Experience with full assembly and re-gasketing of power transformers which includes being proficient in running a hot oil processor. Transformer testing to include Doble power factor, SFRA, Leakage Reactance, DC Winding Resistance, TTR, Megger (Insulation Resistance) and be proficient with reading prints to troubleshoot/test alarm circuits. Comply with all company safety rules and procedures. Be responsible for tools, test equipment and vehicles.
 
Required Qualifications:
· 3 years supervision experience
· Basic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills
· Exercises good communication, negotiation, organizational and time management skills.
· Valid driver’s license and a good driving record (CDL must be obtained and would be a plus if already acquired)
· Ability and willingness to work out of town.
· Ability to adapt to changing technology.
· Ability to work outside in an electrical substation environment, exposure to heat and cold, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds and working in elevated areas.
· Ability to work on and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical circuits and components.
· Ability to recognize, isolate, and release stored energy in mechanical components.
 
Desired Skills:
· 5 years work experience in electric utility or industrial field
· Experience in an electric utility substation environment
· Advanced Computer skills
· Knowledgeable of utility electrical design standards
· Knowledgeable of basic substation equipment operation
· Experience reading electrical one-line, schematic and wiring diagrams
