Shermco U.S. is seeking a Project Manager.
PROJECT MANAGER
Join our team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing, engineering, & training. Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Project Manager with field experience and strong knowledge of electric power systems to work out of our Omaha, Nebraska office. Shermco Industries is accredited by NETA and is the largest independent electrical testing company in North America.
Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
Minimum Qualifications to qualify for consideration, you must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with orwithout reasonable accommodations
Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
All offers are conditioned on acceptable results from a background check and drug and alcohol screening
Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
Must be available for periodic domestic travel; international travel a plus and U.S. passport desired.
If applying for position, must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa(work permit).
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Must be willing to travel; minimum 40%.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Communicate with Customer on schedules and scope of work for each site (when, where, allotted time, what assets to test).
- Work with Customer and Shermco Ops & Field Service Managers on scheduling/manpower conflicts.
- Build/maintain database for each site via proper PowerDB datasheets per Customer requirements and asset nomenclature.
- Data review and report writing for each outage/site as soon as feasible.
- Offer support for Customer emergency calls based on site locations.
- Facilitate the project invoicing and project job status to Shermco Operations team.
Minimum Qualifications to qualify for consideration, you must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
- NETA Level 3 Technical Certification is required for Project Manager per Customer's demand.
- Must have a proven record of accomplishment as Lead Technician or Job Lead on past jobs/projects.
- Advanced project management skills: ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- An excellent understanding of electrical power systems as it pertains to oil and natural gas transmission operations.
- Teamwork skills to work with other Shermco departments (NETA Testing & Engineering) as well as the Customer.
- Effective time management and human relation skills; Effective oral/written communication skills.
- Able to travel to 60% during peak season (April through September) for pipeline sites from Duluth, MN down to West Texas.
