JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Performs work related to the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
High School diploma or equivalent. Desired: Related vocational, trade school, apprentice program, or equivalent military training.
Minimum experience required of the position
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations. Desired: Ability to make semi-technical calculations involving the electrical area. Ability to use required tools, equipment. Capable of making complex repairs and adjustments to plant electrical equipment. Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing. Ability to read prints, verbal comprehension, and troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment. Be familiar with company safety rules.

For Journeyman level only (not entry level requiring training): Candidates for this position must meet requirements specified in ANSI/ANS Standards and Regulatory Guidelines. In addition, site Technical Specifications, FSAR, or procedures may contain additional requirements. Hiring Managers are required to submit attachment 9.1 from EN-HR-137 for any candidate selected for this job. 4.5.3- Maintenance Personnel The standard specifies this as Journeymen Level Personnel. Nuclear Maintenance Mechanic, Lead Nuclear Maintenance Mechanic (Electrician, Machinist, Mechanic, Welder, HVAC): 3 years experience in one or more of their crafts. Possess a high degree of manual dexterity and ability and should be capable of learning and applying basic skills in maintenance operation. Individuals in training or apprentice positions are not considered technicians or maintenance personnel for purposes of defining qualifications in ANSI/ANS 3.1 section 4 'Qualification,' but are permitted to perform work for which qualification has been demonstrated.

Successful completion of the EEI MASS test.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Performs work related to the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs maintenance, inspection, repair, testing, and surveillance on plant equipment.
- Repairs reactor components, motors, breakers, relays, fuel handling equipment, and switchgear.
- Implements and performs preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Identifies problems, defects, and failures that degrade component and system integrity and reliability.
- Assists engineers with testing and evaluations.
- Performs skilled work involving motor testing, breaker testing, and relay testing and protective functions. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
High School diploma or equivalent. Desired: Related vocational, trade school, apprentice program, or equivalent military training.
Minimum experience required of the position
- 2 years of electrician experience or 2 years of nuclear experience.
- Desired: 4 years commercial nuclear experience. Experience in nuclear power plant maintenance.
- Highly Desired: Plant or Industrial Electrical Experience
