- Repair, maintenance and inspection of underwater parts of oil platforms, underwater pipelines, vessels and other offshore/inshore facilities involved in oil and gas production and transportation. Other work for which the dive(s) are required, not going beyond the scope of the applicable diving regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Seabed surveys, inspection of the underwater part of offshore and inshore facilities, pipelines and cables laid in underwater trenches, their search with the help of locator and determination of the burial depth;
- Inspection of stone slopes of canals, locks, dams, dykes, supporting parts of berth walls, piers and other structures for mooring ships, floating signs, track conditions and navigation equipment;
- Excavation of underwater soil using hydraulic jetting equipment, water-jet or pneumatic dredger and jackhammer with the aim of deepening and cleaning the seabed;
- Works related to landfilling;
- Rough alignment of underwater stone-gravel and sand beds under the basis of hydro technical structures or underwater objects;
- Drilling holes under water;
- Sawing up of elements of wooden structures, arrangement of tenons on piles, sheathing and caulking of gaps in sheet pile rows, placing wooden plugs in holes and gaskets in the gaps of wooden structures;
- Installation of heads and bodies weighing up to 20 tons;
- Laying concrete under water in bags, skips or boxes;
- Slinging and removal of slings under water. Unloading from the hull of a sunken ship cargo that does not require balancing;
- Service research works;
- Carrying out routine inspection of the vessels;
- Cleaning the underwater part of the hull, ship's sea intake grates, ship's propellers, underwater slips and boathouses from fouling and clogging, performing simple installation, locksmith, carpentry and rigging works underwater;
- External inspection of the hulls of sunken ships;
Education
Qualification Requirements:
- A person who has complete general secondary education and special diving training in a diving school (in courses) is appointed to the position. Work experience as a diver for at least 1 year.
