Are you motivated by the challenge of working as an Electrical Superintendent for vessels and equipment? Do you have a passion for dredging, offshore vessels, and complex electrical systems, and enjoy understanding how everything connects?

Function description

As an Electrical Superintendent, you'll collaborate closely with the Technical Superintendent to prepare dockings and manage electrical repairs. You'll serve as the bridge between the ship crew, suppliers, specialist colleagues, and project staff to ensure smooth communication and operations.

You'll join a team of Electrical Superintendents, Technical Superintendents, and Project Engineers, all based in our Rotterdam office. Together, this team supports our existing fleet, handling maintenance and modifications for the electrical systems on board our ships and equipment.

This means you will primarily work in the Rotterdam office, but you have to travel to the vessels and yard occasionally.

Requirements

Your skills:

• Provide daily insights and advice to the Technical Superintendent on the status of ship electrical systems.
• Define electrical installation requirements based on project needs.
• Recommend technical solutions to meet project objectives.
• Review and evaluate suppliers' technical proposals against project specifications.
• Assist crew members with troubleshooting electrical issues on board.

About you:

• You have an HBO-level education or higher, ideally in electrical engineering.
• You bring at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the maritime sector.
• You have strong English language skills, both written and spoken.
